I’m just happy He’s correctly identifies Arcade Fire as American.

I had a friend in high school in the 80s who was an absolute Bryan Adams fanatic. He had a black mullet with short spiky gelled top, walked around in a Leafs windbreaker, and his favorite hobby was shoplifting.
One redeeming quality amongst so much awful.

Also, while Canada covers a lot of territory the major population centers are mostly in the southern part of the country and not far from the US border and make up a fraction of the entire land mass.
Big population in total though. Certainly more than Wales.

He mostly grabbed tapes, including those long plastic security devices they were displayed in, and would just fill up that windbreaker and walk out. His collection included Bryan Adams, as well as Rush, Brighton Rock, Boston, Journey, Cinderella, etc. Why bother? He must have gotten busted like 4-5 times and was constantly grounded by his parents. His sister was hot though.

I never did the shoplifting thing. My brother had a business of stealing tapes from Caldors which was like a Walmart for its time. He'd take orders from people and only charge them like 2/3 the store price. I think he told people his uncle was in the music biz or something so as to not arouse suspicion. He definitely got caught a few times and was eventually banned from a few stores. I had buddies that would steal porn mags from this store in town. They had a process down where they'd move the porn down with the regular magazines then browse and slip them down their shirts, one would then buy a Mad or something while the others walked out. They had treasure troves of porn mags.

If he'd had the good taste to grab Cars tapes, or the Police or something...but he had shitty taste in music.

I never had the backbone for crimin'. I once saw this guy get chased through a parking lot, pregnant with tapes, until security cornered him and practically hog-tied him. Not for me, I said.

Shoplifting is awesome.
Shoplifting from corporate stores is literally a victimless crime.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

My friend worked at Pier 1 Imports. We raided that place.
