You gotta love how people who look down on people who drink are pushing booze.

For real. Hoping the barrel aged version comes out in 6-12 months.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

For the new year, I wish you two the realization of deep shame.

Just got a text from my neighborhood liquor store: “You are our best customer. [possibly true but :scared: ] Enjoy 20% off all wine today and tomorrow.” I don’t think I can pass up this offer.

Their holiday beer that Unibroue contract brews was $5.99 for a 750mL (9% ABV too) ten years ago and is still $5.99. Two Buck Chuck is now $3.50 or so, but some of their contract beers are as cheap as they've ever been.

Having my first glass of amarone wine. First time I've ever made that kind. Very, very dry, but quite smooth tasting. Not something I would have liked when I first started making wine, but it's rather appealing. I think it'd go very well with steak if you care about such things.

You bring the wine and I'll make the steaks.

If I ever make it down there—well, shit, I *will* eventually cross the border into Insanityland again—we will drink and if you serve me meat I will eat it.

(Also, on my second glass, I really like this stuff. It's a more expensive kit, but I think I'm going to have do another batch.)

I won't be ready to go to Insanityland by then. I'm thinking late 2020s. :twitch:
