Alcohol is fermented sugar. The differences between wine/liquor/beer in terms of calorie/%abv is pretty minimal.

I've always thought that wine was the worst. Beer seems worse because the apv means people drink more of it. Not that I have any firm basis for believing that. But I somehow think I'm more health conscious for drinking whiskey than wine or beer.
