It's a very cute label.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑25 Oct 2019, 6:15pmIf I saw it in a store, the Big Foot would sell it for me. No way I could resist that.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Dark room, alone, 90 proof whisky, gun with one bullet at arm's length. Party time.

I love my aged rums. Someone must have created a Papa Doc and Baby Doc cocktail by now. I suppose people might not like those memories. I'd just like to walk into a bar and say, "Give me a Baby Doc!". The barkeep could say back, "With or without Tonton Macoute?". I have this whole sick little world going on in my head.revbob wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 9:19pmOh it is my favorite warming drink over the cold months.

No that would hit way to close to home. Just like I'd never order a "black and tan" or some drink named after Reagan or Thatcher.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 10:58pmI love my aged rums. Yeah, I figured. Is there a national drink down there? I was in Guadeloupe (also a French speaking place) and they had a Ti Punch which was served upon arrival, departure, or when something funny was said. It was old rum with some spice and simple syrup.
Re: Thread O'Booze REVISED!
I think a fair amount just like straight up rum. There is kremas which is more of a holiday liqueur. Think Bailey's but with a tropical twist with coconut and spices. But again that seems to be more of a holiday drink.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 11:09pmYeah, I figured. Is there a national drink down there? I'd get with that in the winter time. Just over the hill from where I am is the largest Haitian community north of the Bronx. I bet the shops up there have it.revbob wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 11:40pmI think a fair amount just like straight up rum. There is kremas which is more of a holiday liqueur. Despite swearing off IPA, I somehow decided to drink a six pack of this last night. Pretty smooth for an IPA.
