Re: Thread O'Booze REVISED!
My buddy came by with a non-alcoholic IPA. I said none of the alcohol but all the horrible flavor.

Jesus. Just drink water or swallow your own spit then.

The night before Covid hit. Bloody good beer, strong as pigs liver but far more easy on the stomach.

Then switch to hard liquor
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Wine has a lot of sugar in it. It's not refined, of course, but wine ain't lo cal.

Alcohol is fermented sugar. The differences between wine/liquor/beer in terms of calorie/%abv is pretty minimal.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 1:01pmWine has a lot of sugar in it. It's not refined, of course, but wine ain't lo cal.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Right, but I thought the natural sweetness of grapes made the calorie count higher in wine.matedog wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 2:22pmAlcohol is fermented sugar. Re: Thread O'Booze REVISED!
I've always thought that wine was the worst. Beer seems worse because the apv means people drink more of it. Not that I have any firm basis for believing that. But I somehow think I'm more health conscious for drinking whiskey than wine or beer.Kory wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 2:40pmWayyy less than beer though.
