Spring and summer are beer seasons for me; fall and winter I switch to spirits. At least drinking at home. I'll still order beer at restaurants.
I'm taking a break from the hard stuff. It's too easy for me to have too much and feel lousy the next day. Beer gives me a nice buzz and I get full before I take too much.
Yeah, a lesson I learned in high school yet one I still seem destined to revisit from time to time. I also tend to sleep like shit.
Managed to snag some of the very last of Lone Tree Brewing's Hop Zombie Red IPA. Available only on Halloween.

Ive got some of those in the beer fridge right now. A neighbor knows the people at Zero Gravity and they gave a bunch of beer to people in honor of Loving Day last June.
Supping a little vodka from the freezer, lovely and smooth. Eases the first world problem of our holiday to Butlins being cancelled, fair enough given the new circumstances but apparently the whole house needs redecorating. What a week off, much sooner be in work.
Mother in Law sent us a $150 bottle of champagne, to be honest, I don't believe I've ever had any that was worth over $30 or $40. No Dom for me! Gonna drink it tonight, I'll report back.
