You bring the wine and I'll make the steaks.
If I ever make it down there—well, shit, I *will* eventually cross the border into Insanityland again—we will drink and if you serve me meat I will eat it.

(Also, on my second glass, I really like this stuff. It's a more expensive kit, but I think I'm going to have do another batch.)
You should both get your asses to SLAPSHOT!
I won't be ready to go to Insanityland by then. I'm thinking late 2020s. :twitch:
To paraphrase Warren Miller: "if you don't do it this year, Insanityland will just be one year insaner when you do"
Then it's confirmed: I'll never experience what it's like to be locked out with revbob.

Having my first glass of amarone wine. First time I've ever made that kind. Very, very dry, but quite smooth tasting. Not something I would have liked when I first started making wine, but it's rather appealing. I think it'd go very well with steak if you care about such things.

Way north of us. Fuck, you can barely see stars in Ottawa because of the light pollution. That said, your wife's ambition is worth it. Seriously, the northern lights are pure magic. I've never been far enough north where you can hear it, but seeing it is jawdropping in its own right.

I'm thinking a nice bourbon with this as a mixer?

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

Oof, how maple? Whenever I find anything maple flavoured, it’s suffocating.

No not overpowering. You have to look for it. Plus this is VT so that fake maple shit is illegal. It's also 8% so a bit boozy. There's a few VT brewers who do maple beers, all the ones Ive tried were excuse the pun tastefully done.

Hello,

I was thinking "That could be really good" or "That could be really bad" - not so much anything in the middle.

I literally would not be surprised if stuff made with American maple was illegal to import here.
