My take on chiros (other than mainly being Mormon weirdos) is that they try and keep you coming for regular maintenance. I believe they can help but they are also usually weirdos.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑29 Jan 2025, 7:47pmI've been going since November. Just back from my chiropractor, and while I'm not 100% we agreed that I don't need to book another appointment unless things suddenly get shitty again. So I celebrated by getting a bottle of whisky (Forty Creek, if you care about such things). The Boss is also out of town, so I get to drink without fear of being judged.
Also Im always judging.

I don't disagree, but my dude has been solid. Always willing to talk about technique and philosophy of treatment. And I can't dispute the results. I'm not 100% but in my current state I wouldn't have sought treatment. The degree of discomfort I feel is entirely manageable, whereas back in November I was in genuine pain most of the time.revbob wrote: ↑29 Jan 2025, 7:53pmMy take on chiros (other than mainly being Mormon weirdos) is that they try and keep you coming for regular maintenance. There's a place in Burlington called Foam that I immediately thought of although thebguy should look more like variations of hipsters. If Im being invited to meet people there I sneak in cans with me because their shit just sucks.
But seriously nothing like going into a place to get a beer, looking at all the options they have and just walking out.

Last weekxl, I went into a pub that had maybe six people in it and waited at the bar for about four or five minutes. Nobody came to serve me, and it was a very nice feeling to stroll out and go to one of the two pubs that were directly next door. Got immediately greeted and had a drink poured on entry, too.

Was it a place you'd gone to before? Just curious whether it might have been a thing about regulars vs. outsiders.Silent Majority wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025, 7:59amLast weekxl, I went into a pub that had maybe six people in it and waited at the bar for about four or five minutes. Fuck yeah. There's a place around here which I didn't realize until talking to others that basically ignores anyone they dont recognize. I went once by myself to get a beer so I chalked it up to being crowded. Went again with a few friends for food/drinks late afternoon. Not crowded at all, watched them interact with people thry knew, ignored us for 15min, no menu or anything so we left, I wouldn't go againSilent Majority wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025, 7:59amLast weekxl, I went into a pub that had maybe six people in it and waited at the bar for about four or five minutes. There's a neat little pub not too far from my home in the basement of a decommissioned church. A proper place for socializing and having a few drinks. But unless it's empty, damnation, the bartenders' boots are nailed to the floor. I keep going back, tho, because, once you can get a drink, the atmosphere is what I'm looking for.revbob wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025, 9:22amFuck yeah.
