Last weekxl, I went into a pub that had maybe six people in it and waited at the bar for about four or five minutes. Nobody came to serve me, and it was a very nice feeling to stroll out and go to one of the two pubs that were directly next door. Got immediately greeted and had a drink poured on entry, too.
Was it a place you'd gone to before? Just curious whether it might have been a thing about regulars vs. outsiders.
I just think the staff were being lazy.

Fuck yeah. There's a place around here which I didn't realize until talking to others that basically ignores anyone they dont recognize. I went once by myself to get a beer so I chalked it up to being crowded. Went again with a few friends for food/drinks late afternoon. Not crowded at all, watched them interact with people thry knew, ignored us for 15min, no menu or anything so we left, I wouldn't go again
Yeah, there are plenty of options and if I'm made to feel like I don't matter? I won't bother your establishment again.

I'd never drink Moosehead unless it was free, but this is a funny gimmick response: https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/08/food/moo ... index.html

"what better way to make it through each day than with a truly Canadian beer,"

Also really the oldest brewer in Canada?

I remember that shit got popular when I was in high school.

Maybe the oldest Canadian-owned brewery now that Molson and Labatt's are owned by Anheuser-Busch.

Hello,

As someone who taught at Ohio University (not Ohio State University), I'd say this is pretty accurate.

I stopped by my sister's place and she gave me some beers to take home. Quite possibly the worst beer Ive ever had. When I got home I opened one took a mouthful, spit it out and dumped the rest.

I don't trust anything in green bottles except ginger ale.
