I stopped by my sister's place and she gave me some beers to take home. Quite possibly the worst beer Ive ever had. When I got home I opened one took a mouthful, spit it out and dumped the rest.

I don't trust anything in green bottles except ginger ale.
Yeah as a rule I wont buy any beer in green or clear glass.
High Life is the only beer I will touch in a clear bottle.

Mass produced euro lager. I can believe that one sucks.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I was opining on the virtues of Rolling Rock the other day with a friend. Not a good beer, obviously, but pretty drinkable for that tier and price point. And I loved the old silk screened (green) bottles. Don't think they sell those anymore. I only see cans now.

Oh man, my favorite beer in the world comes in a green bottle:

As functional and environmentally friendly as cans are, I do sometimes miss bottles for some beers.

Which is what I expected, but didn't expect it to be that bad. I hate to know what my sister paid for it

Nothing like paying import costs for essentially Budweiser.

The Boss decided to try this and I'm surprisingly taken, given my preference for dark beer. It's very smooth, almost a creamy sensation.

Hello,

I'm back in Texas - all the IPA's have Texas-y names and all are pretty bland (as well as upside down).

Always a challenge to get the axis right on a pic here. Especially when all your axes are in Texas.

I hope you had your mouth or glass ready when opening those if they are perpetually upside down!

Haven't had that one before, but the barrel aging would probably add a lot of complexity.

Mini Gene Simmons cameo in the basement rager scene.
