My 18 week marathon training program starts today !
Just completed a 10k in 45 minutes, not a bad start.

It has been two months since the Boston Marathon and I have just returned to the track after a long and heeling lay-off. There is a 5k in my town this weekend and I'm going to go for speed. I did nothing but run in training for the marathon, I have now switched it up and have been engaging in a weight training program at the gym. The few runs I have gone on I have been very fast and felt great, a lot of power.101Walterton wrote:My 18 week marathon training program starts today !

Yep. There's only one cure for a fast metabolism -- age. And a thyroid problem. Ok, two cures. That I know of.Wolter wrote:Don't worry. It WILL come back to haunt him. Right around the mid to late thirties is when I noticed it.
If it kills you, it really speeds up your metabolism. Amazing what decomposition does for the figure.Wolter wrote:A bullet also works.Mimi wrote:Yep. Yup. I've had to up my exercise and lower my food indulgences when I hit about 38 just to keep at my preferred weight. I'm reasonably lucky, I guess, in that exercising does keep my metabolism reasonably high. And on that note, my morning rage ride along the South Saskatchewan River awaits …Mimi wrote:Yep.
