So, so much horsefucking back then. Nixon and Khrushchev's Kitchen Debate, for example, started when Khrushchev told Nixon he couldn't arouse a mare even with a box of sugar cubes and a bag of oats.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Well, sure, but it was the middle of the Cold War so you couldn't concede the point or all of southeast Asia would go Red.Flex wrote: ↑28 Oct 2022, 7:26amAnd he was right!Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑28 Oct 2022, 7:24amSo, so much horsefucking back then. As a jest it's funny, but I'd still like to see (some) comics thought of in the same category as literature.

Enh, I don't regard literature as anything but fiction. That is, I don't regard it as special or elite. It's all storytelling. Different methods, different audiences, but neither superior nor inferior as forms.

I should clarify that I'd like to see people stop thinking of it as "low art."Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑28 Oct 2022, 4:52pmEnh, I don't regard literature as anything but fiction. Ah, gotcha. And, yup, I fully reject those kinds of hierarchies. It’s all about communication and effect and the success in that.Kory wrote: ↑28 Oct 2022, 5:54pmI should clarify that I'd like to see people stop thinking of it as "low art."Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑28 Oct 2022, 4:52pmEnh, I don't regard literature as anything but fiction. I just call anything Kory likes "low art" (except Dave, of course)

We’re talking Leifield, right? (I imagine Kory has surgically altered tiny ankles.)

Is Superman supposed to be modeled after Jay Leno?
