So in the last comic you posted the poorly drawn lady was walking into Harvey's room and it looked to be a solid structure. Now they are in a tent from the looks of it. And obviously the lady looks different again.

His beard remains consistently fantastic from panel to panel, however.

I am genuinely curious what the hell is happening. Is he experimenting with a public revamp of the strip's style, seeing what kind of feedback each gets?

Holy shit that is insane. You could somewhat argue before that the differences were subtle but this a different person doing the art.

More of the roundish, stubby art. But Harvey's going to die, running out underdressed into a blizzard at night. So, write up the story, Mark, and figure out whose buzz you're going to kill next.

So, uh, the Mark Trail art is continuing to shift and change even outside the context of Dr. Camel’s flashback? Not sure if this is meant to represent everyone slowly losing their mind due to oxygen deprivation or if new-ish artist James Allen is trying to put his own visual stamp on the strip rather than hewing to the models established by his predecessors, but the important thing is that Mark and Harvey are going to snipe at each other until they freeze to death.
