Butters does that. He doesn't like to be picked up for longer than a minute. Apart from chasing/hassling his sisters, Luke is pretty much perfect. He's just really good at being a cat. Playing, sleeping, talking (he really has a lovely voice), and cuddling, he's just effortlessly good at it. He hops up on your lap and has a snooze. Zoë needs to fuss and wander around and knead and basically ruin it. If you shift in your seat, she's gone. I love the girls, but it's impossible to deny that he's just better at everything than them.Mimi wrote: ↑03 Dec 2022, 4:01pmButters does that. Yep, that's ours to a T, once they want down, they engage 4 paw drive and start trying to gain traction on us to get away.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Dec 2022, 3:57pmThe worst we get is that when the girls decide they want to be put down, they insist on leaping off you with claws extended. Poor kitties and poor you—time spent at the vet is rough on everyone. L will be home soon and everyone's normal will be happy again.

I take back what I said about Butters. He's downstairs batting his toys around and getting a case of the zoomies.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑05 Dec 2022, 9:36amPoor kitties and poor you—time spent at the vet is rough on everyone. L will be home soon and everyone's normal will be happy again.

Poor little girl. So she's a wet food kitty now?

Re: Pets.
Wow, that was quite a bit of dental work, I hope her recovery goes well and Butters is nice to her when she returns home. Ours get weird (hissing & whatnot) with each other after one of them goes to the vet, kind of frustrating.

Re: Pets.
She has been since 2018 because of her kidneys, but yeah, she won't be chewing on anything soon.
I can't imagine what kind of pain she might have been in. If she was in pain, she certainly didn't act like it. Cats are so good at masking.
Re: Pets.
Butters is a cool customer: he doesn't hiss at her. He'll just want to smell her. Thank goodness.

They do tend to have a high threshold of pain, but, yeah, they're really good at hiding things.Mimi wrote: ↑05 Dec 2022, 1:39pmShe has been since 2018 because of her kidneys, but yeah, she won't be chewing on anything soon.
