I called to apologize this morning. The girl said, we get yelled at a lot but no one ever calls to apologize. #guiltcomplex

Oh, I have a few ideas. One or two of the front desk staff can be a little snotty. I've seen them in action.
Not to mention the doctor in question who I'm having serious doubts about.

Good on ya for apologizing. Those little moments of shared humanity and respect do matter a lot in those kinds of jobs.

So the vet called, not the sketchy doctor, and I told her what's been going on. She said she just adopted a young cat who is going through the exact same thing and they've been doing all kinds of testing to find out what's wrong. She understood. She explained what we can do to find out what's irritating his sinuses -- could be a polyp or a tumor -- but at least she took me seriously and said she'd tried to get him as soon as possible. I have an appointment on Jan 7th. I thanked her profusely for calling me back. See how easy that was, ya stupid doctor.

Thanks for listening, y'all. Sometimes you have to talk to other pet parents for comfort.

So glad that you had a positive response this time. Kinda stinks that you can't get an appointment for a month, but it is what it is. Now, fingers crossed that Butters is just being an asshole and worrying you because it's fun.

This has been going on for a while but seems to be getting worse so I suspect it's something more than just an allergy or an uri.

Poor little man. I still hold out hope that he's just a cat asshole.

Poor Butters - sending healing thoughts his way. Sometimes, especially when it comes to our pets, we get frustrated to the point of yelling. It happens. They can't tell us what's wrong and sometimes you just have to trust your gut. And when they don't take you seriously, it is so frustrating. You did a good thing apologizing and hopefully Butter's will get better ASAP.
