Re: Return of the Mighty Observations Thread
I was furloughed a couple of times back in the 90s. The one nice thing was it was a rolling thing so I was able to pick my weeks so took it in the summer.

An illustration of disappointment: The Boss was flipping thru the channel guide and something called Vaticano went by. I said that it's a movie about a volcano that develops underneath the Vatican. Then I think, what if? So I look up what that was and find out it's Italian for Vatican. And now I'm left wishing for a movie about a volcano underneath the Vatican. Called Vaticano. The end.

No, it's gotta be vampires and demons, so bishops and cardinals can use their crucifixes against them.revbob wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 12:04pmYes and it can shoot out killer sharks and piranhas instead of lava.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 12:02pmAn illustration of disappointment: The Boss was flipping thru the channel guide and something called Vaticano went by. 10 mins late for work this morning. I'm working from home, if anyone doubts my commitment to undermining the system from within.

Re: Return of the Mighty Observations Thread
Watching "The Chase" with my mum on Monday night.
Q. What long running sci-fi tv series featured a time lord and the Daleks?
Mum
A. The Planet of the Apes
Me.
"You finally really did it. You maniacs! You exterminated it up! God damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
Mum.
What is wrong you?
Still, Zaius Vs. Davros would've been a good spin off.

Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

That's New York state across the water but you can barely see it because of snow.
