Return of the Mighty Observations Thread
Re: Return of the Mighty Observations Thread
Fuck man, i've never heard of hair loss from COVID. Or the more serious stuff you mentioned (internal vibrations???). Glad to hear you are generally on the upswing and I hope that other shit gets sorted out pronto.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
Re: Return of the Mighty Observations Thread
Thanks.
Oh yeah hair loss is a thing and the nervous system issues. Long Covid stuff. I’ve been dealing with it since March or April. The actual covid infection wasn’t that bad but the after effects have sucked.

I'm so sorry that this has afflicted you. I hope you know that if there's anything I can do, you don't have to pause or ask twice.eumaas wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022, 12:30pmThere’s some amelioration available but essentially I just need to wait it out.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022, 12:23pmOh no, that' horrible. Is there any kind of treatment or are you just gutting it out and hoping your immune system eventually beats back the effects?eumaas wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022, 12:08pmA lot of the long covid symptoms have diminished in intensity but haven’t disappeared entirely yet. So I’m still having trouble day to day with it. The muscle spasms, twitches, and cramps make it hard for me to walk at the end of the day (I think all that stuff fatigues the muscles), but at least I’m not experiencing the internal vibrations anymore.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022, 12:02pmHoly shit, man! I had no idea. I also didn't know that was a possible side effect. How's your health otherwise?

Thank you, man! I am doing OK. I can get why some people have killed themselves over these symptoms but I think I had a leg up in already being disabled and used to my health ruining plans and the like.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022, 4:11pmI'm so sorry that this has afflicted you. Lemonade from lemons, heh, but I do appreciate your point. You've built up some well-earned mental scar tissue.eumaas wrote: ↑05 Oct 2022, 6:11pmThank you, man! I am doing OK. A kind message from a woman I see said she was pleased that the shirt I'd brought back to her smelt like me. But I'd left that shirt, which I didn't wear, in a rucksack where I stored some foraged mushrooms, so she was either being very sweet or I need to seriously reconsider my hygiene routine.

Me weirding out the Boss as she leaves for work: Have a wonderful day, full of the Lord's loving grace.
My only regret is that I didn't have a little laminated Footprints card to give her.

Probably out west. Not where I live, tho. Plenty of Catholics, but they don’t seem that serious about it.revbob wrote: ↑12 Oct 2022, 9:19amThere must be some kind of religious singing telegram service even in a commie loving country like yoursDr. Medulla wrote: ↑12 Oct 2022, 8:13amMe weirding out the Boss as she leaves for work: Have a wonderful day, full of the Lord's loving grace.

I prefer Catholics. They seem kind of ashamed of their faith.revbob wrote: ↑12 Oct 2022, 10:39amTake it easy Mr Paisley.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑12 Oct 2022, 10:17amProbably out west.
