This one has a pine smell that's piped in.JennyB wrote: ↑07 Feb 2023, 4:14pmI love that sound too.WestwayKid wrote: ↑07 Feb 2023, 4:06pmI had to visit the local casino today to check out venue space for my job. It's a relatively large Native American casino in Downtown Milwaukee. Not nearly as big as a Vegas casino, but has most of the same bells and whistles. I really love the sound of a casino. I don't like gambling, but I like the energy of a busy gaming floor. We went to Vegas in July 2021 as my partner had a conference. The kids and I had the days to explore while she was busy, and we ended up walking to every casino on the strip - just to check them out. It was a blast. We picked up a $1 chip from each one. Anyway, not quite sure the point of this post - other than I got a boost visiting the local casino today.

Cool project. I find casinos to be a bit overstimulating. For work I used to travel with a guy who liked going to casinos (not the vegas ones). I found them depressing places and the cigarette smoke to usually be overwhelming.WestwayKid wrote: ↑07 Feb 2023, 4:06pmI had to visit the local casino today to check out venue space for my job. When I was in grad school in Iowa—lasted one year, dropped out—for one class we did a Saturday afternoon on a riverboat casino that went up and down the Mississippi. From the experience we were supposed to write about something for a term paper. Anyway, half the class got really into gambling, the other half went up top, got some sun, and drank the whole afternoon (I was in the latter group). For my paper, tho, I did write about gambling, but it was more inspired by the movie Rounders than that afternoon.WestwayKid wrote: ↑07 Feb 2023, 4:06pmI had to visit the local casino today to check out venue space for my job. Bought a pack of Dentyne on Friday—I was out of my usual Tic Tacs and the store didn't have any—and, I swear, I chew gum like rabbits fucking—at least if I'm thinking about it. Just manic energy like I'm trying to destroy the gum. I need to get some Tic Tacs.

Finished co-writing the novel. Off to the agent it goes. Hopefully in six months, some publisher will buy it.
