It urns out he and Chekoff were actually part of a separate evolutionary branch where all members were well under 6 ft. The actual Kanamits look down on this group.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑25 Oct 2022, 7:42amYears of watching Brett Gardner has altered your perception.

I hope he's being sarcastic. "No, please tell me Spock, because everyone on this ship is stupid except you."

Re: Star Trek
Okay, we pretended that last season of Picard didn't exist and watched the first episode of the new season. Optimistic so far. It's all teasing mystery—first episode and all—but, damn, Picard and Riker together makes you want it to be really, really good. It's kind of amazing how Patrick Stewart/Picard is the perfect opposite of The Shat/Kirk in every way. Stewart just radiates a quiet charisma that makes you want to be on his side.

Huh, I didn't realize the new season was starting already. Will definitely check it out. I didn't hate the second season of Picard, but it was so overstuffed that it didn't really work (vs the very clear thru-line of the first season). And in any case, I'm ready for the big TNG reunion to close out Picard's story.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 9:30pmOkay, we pretended that last season of Picard didn't exist and watched the first episode of the new season. You are a much better person than me for not hating that last season. The only way it works is if it's satiric venom towards the idea of fan service.Flex wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 9:34pmHuh, I didn't realize the new season was starting already. Will definitely check it out. (I said to The Boss that what I really want from this season is for Riker to do one of his weirdo sitting on a chair moves. So, fine, I have my own idiosyncratic ideas of fan service.)
