Niomie - who, thanks to very hard work on diet, exercise, disease modifying treatment, meditation and a fistful of supplements every day, is currently in a very good spot with her MS just now - went to audition as the singer of a pro 1st wave punk covers band last week. She gave them a single blast of Oh Bondage Up Yours and now she fronts a X Ray Spex tribute. They're all amazed by how much like Poly she seems. She told me she could see the pound signs in their eyes.

Hello,

I just learned my son will be officiating at the NCAA Division 1 Women's National Soccer Championship.

I was going to post this in the Association Football thread but who knows what those people will say about referees.

Hello,

He was considering it. The problem is he's waiting for people to retire - too many old referees. He's a step away from MLS which would a provide salary (versus independent contractor getting paid per game) plus benefits, etc. He's kind of backed off that and thinks school first with the reffing as a good part time gig.

That's a sensible strategy, one I imagine you encouraged. Get your education down. Figuring out what you want from life and how to pursue it flows from there. Still, that's a fantastic opportunity at his young age even if it doesn't go much further overall.

So glad to hear that she is doing well and what a kick ass band to front!

That band evolved into a garage punk originals set up, which I'm playing bass in. Off to a promising start.

Cool, one of my regrets is not trying to do something like this when I was younger.
