Referring to other comments here, I believe it was Edison who said "Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration."
Similar, but more earthy, Stephen King has said of writers who take years to finish a novel, "Sounds like there's a lot of jerking off going on."
Hello,

Hence the perspiration.

Not bragging by any means but proud and relieved that my daughter has gotten a grad school acceptance. She had a few rejections first so when she called me in tears this morning I was worried it was another rejection. Hence the relief.

Yeah, hot damn! Nothing wrong with some rejections along the way—I can speak with deep experience—as long as you get one fish to bite. Pass on my congrats.

Congratulations on the great news Rev, couldn't be happier for both you and your daughter.

Congrats! What is she going to be getting her masters in?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
