Re: Star Wars
We watched the first episodes of Obi-wan Kenobi this evening. Pretty meh, but it does maintain the Star Wars tradition of annoying child characters/actors.

Without Lucas’ hand at the tiller, it’s hard to generate such oak from an actor.revbob wrote: ↑07 Jun 2022, 8:45pmMacGregor seems less wooden than in the movies.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑07 Jun 2022, 8:39pmWe watched the first episodes of Obi-wan Kenobi this evening. Re: Star Wars
Im a fan for sure but how are the "storm troopers" such ineffectual fighters. Its like they took the worst possible fighters/marksmen etc. So awful at what they do.

Re: Star Wars
Further to this, what's the point of their armour? Has it ever been shown to stop anything?

Nope. They shoot and it gets deflected back and down they go.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 9:29pmFurther to this, what's the point of their armour? Has it ever been shown to stop anything?

Re: Star Wars
We finished watching Obi-Wan Kenobi this evening. My takeaway from Revenge of the Sith was that Obi-Wan could have done a great deed with a mercy killing at the end, so he should feel great guilt for what he didn't do. Yeah, guess what asshead doesn't do when he gets another chance? Obi-Wan is the secret villain of Star Wars.

Right? Same fucking mistake twice. I want to say there's nobody but my own kids that I wouldn't cut down with a 2nd chance. But I also realize they need to shoe horn shit in to the established canon.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑07 Jul 2022, 7:49pmWe finished watching Obi-Wan Kenobi this evening.
