My rather pathetic attempt to take a pic of Jupiter. It's the barely discernible dot to the right of the shiny blob that is definitely the moon.

You could have told us this was a pic of Jupiter and we'd have all been in awe. Know your audience.
Thanks for the tip. Will repost in a few weeks under the heading "Saturn looking good with its rings shimmering in the clear night sky"

Like Rev Bob said, if you hadn't told me what it was, I'd still be in awe, nice work.

I actually noticed it yesterday, bright full moon and this smaller but quite bright dot next to it which, according to google, turned out to be jupiter. It's much further away tonight but still pretty neat, i think.

I thought it was Venus based on the size and albedo. Imagine my surprise!

Man takes picture of a lightbulb in his garden shed at midnight and cons the science community into believing it's Jupiter. 🤣

I can do that but still can't see more than 3 at any one time. Not even sure that much, the little blinkers keep disappearing soon as i get tabs on em!

I've never believed that nonsense. All that rocket fuel would've melted the cheese in no time.
