Hiccup cure?

I've long used a teaspoon of vinegar for persistent hiccups. It's like a hard reset for the diaphragm.

I feel like this was more of a "problem" when I was a kid.

Never been a real issue for me at any time. It's something that irritates me when others have them, tho. I know it's not intentional on their part, but that sound grates on me.

A really deeply held breath for 20 seconds usually does it for me.

That's hit and miss for me. Vinegar and I move on with my life. The Boss would rather suffer than endure a few seconds of vinegar. I don't understand that. No, it's not delicious or anything like that. It's a cure so you get on with things.

The resulting ennui suggests it be reserved for extreme cases.

Yes mild cases are cured by reading the CtC sleeve notes.

It's medicine, dag nabbit, not ice cream. (Tho it might help that I'm a big fan of vinegar on fries.)

Octopuses and lobsters have feelings and should be included in the animal sentience bill, a group of Conservative MPs has said.
Does conservative mean liberal in the UK?

Maybe they're trying to acknowledge that the royal family all have tentacles.

That's where the scientific debate rests: are the royals reptiles or arthropods?
