Bottom line is I have major Sephardic envy. I used to think I had to have some Sephardic ancestry because my great grandfather on my dad's side was very swarthy (he lived well into his 90s and didn't die until I was a teenager, so I actually knew him pretty well). I used to think he had to be Syrian or Yemini or something. Nope, did the DNA test and I am 99% boring ass Ashkenazi.
