Funny story—I had tickets to see them in LA on the XXI tour. It got postponed, but I already had my plane tickets with some friends, so I went anyway, and then I returned about 6 months later to see the actual show. Really drove home the risk involved in traveling for shows, though I've done it a few more times since then. But Liz and Horace Andy were both there, it was spectacular. Plus I got to check the last of the Bristol Trinity off my live list.

So you don't feel obliged to make a journey now to see them?Kory wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 3:32pmFunny story—I had tickets to see them in LA on the XXI tour. If they were coming closer to the west coast I would consider it, but I'm already going to be in AZ for all those dates. I have been longing to be in NY again though, it's just inconvenient timing.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 3:38pmSo you don't feel obliged to make a journey now to see them?Kory wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 3:32pmFunny story—I had tickets to see them in LA on the XXI tour. Yeah I think I mentioned the same thing happened the year that I saw them. Either a visa issue or notable recluse Fraser getting cold feet?Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 Oct 2024, 5:18pmMorrissey joins Massive Attack for tour: https://www.brooklynvegan.com/massive-a ... umstances/

Is visa stuff not taken care of before a tour is announced? Wouldn't a promoter want that stuff assured in advance?Kory wrote: ↑15 Oct 2024, 2:22pmYeah I think I mentioned the same thing happened the year that I saw them. I would think so, but it does seem to happen with some frequency. That's bureaucracy for you I guess.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑15 Oct 2024, 2:36pmIs visa stuff not taken care of before a tour is announced? That makes a great deal of sense now that you mention it. That must really rankle for such a political group.Silent Majority wrote: ↑15 Oct 2024, 4:16pmIt might have gotten worse post Brexit?Kory wrote: ↑15 Oct 2024, 4:05pmI would think so, but it does seem to happen with some frequency. Re: FAO Kory
Hmmm, brexit keeping Morrissey out of my country definitely puts it in the "so who's to say if it's good or bad" territory
“As I traveled, I came to believe that people’s desires and aspirations were as much a part of the land as the wind, solitary animals, and the bright fields of stone and tundra. And, too, that the land existed quite apart from these.”

Re: FAO Kory
Well he already lives here, so you'd need trump and his plan to deport everyone. Which morrissey ironically would agree with.
