Leftover cottage pie for breakfast, the best way to start the day.
Tell me more about this...cottage pie.
I believe we know it as Sheppard's Pie and it's great belly fill.

Shepherds Pie has lamb mince, Cottage Pie has beef.
Which one has balls in it?

The Boss was in comfort food mode and wanted pancakes for supper. Fine, whatever. The maple syrup we used came from the nearby First Nations reserve in Quebec, so she wants revbob to know that if he criticizes it, he's a colonizer and a racist.

So not Canadian correct? I fully support this.

The Boss says that it was Eastern indigenous people who first tapped maple trees for syrup, so they have the greater claim of authenticity. Sure, yeah, whatever?

Then those hairy French monsters grabbed the idea and called their own.

I did a lovely roast chicken with roasted potatoes, carrots and onions. I attacked it before taking a pic. It is so good I feel like I could eat the whole thing.

Roast chicken is king. Inexpensive, can spread over a few days and tasty. Ticks all the boxes.

I'm having cold spaghetti bolognese at the moment, it was nice at tea, even better now.

Agreed on both fronts except although I agree Bolognese tastes even better the next day I don’t want it cold.

The spaghetti itself is cold? And by bolognese you mean like a meat sauce?

Yeah on both, cracking mate. Cold leftovers are king, and king of kings are Indian food. Cold curry in the morning is exceptional. Shove it in the fridge overnight and the flavour seems to shag its way to heavenly standards.

Yeah the longer food has the absorb the flavours the better. Even cold left over KFC is better.
