Toad in the Hole is sausage encased in Yorkshire Pudding, this is egg on toast. I guess you probably need at least one common ingredient to make them similar.

Ok fair enough. Im not familiar with the term. I like my eggs on toast myself, dont see a point in cutting a hole in it.

My grandmother (who made me start calling her grandmother at age six because I was too old to call her grandma) used to make all sorts of English dishes, including Yorkshire pudding. It was delicious, but she wasn't fooling anyone with her airs. Her dad was fresh off the boat from Kiev a few years before she was born.

I had a friend who called is father...Father, nothing else was acceptable. His dad was a frightening man.

He later rebelled and things went to hell, not sure what happened to him.

Yeah. Puzzling is an understatement. My dad had to call her mother. It's a wonder that he turned out normal.
