We had record rains in December that had me hopefully we were starting to get out of the drought. Then it just stopped raining in the new year. January/February are the wettest months in California and we had basically no rain. Sooooo back to the drought and rain anxiety again. I hate fretting over shit I have zero control over.

Thunderstorm would be fun, but wind freaks me out more and more as I age. Which is strange because I've never lived thru a tornado or hurricane (the worst thing I've seen was a windstorm where I saw tree branches get pulled off).

I'm south of you, we were expecting rain overnight and this morning, but barely got 10 minutes of sprinkles. This sucks but as you said, we're powerless over it, so I try not to dwell on it. We did get rid of our lawn a few years back and went with drought tolerant landscaping in order to conserve as best we can.
