We had a siding panel come off and it was tough to find someone to replace just one panel. There were plenty of people who wanted to replace all our siding but no one who wanted to replace just one panel.

That was my immediate groaning fear. Our last house had a small roofing issue and it was a devil of a time getting a roofer who would do a repair rather than redo the whole thing.

I have never been through a tornado - 2 hurricanes but they were just heavy rains and heavy winds - sat around and watched it pass. I have no desire to live through, much less chase, a tornado. I'm glad all came through safely.

He was at the Blues game, so he was fine. It avoided that area.

We get tornadoes in STL fairly often, but this was the first time one touched down close to us.

Knock on wood, but we've never had one of these in my neck of the woods. I've heard more than once that Lake Michigan protects us from tornados. It's something about the pressure changing as storms approach the shore.
