I wouldn't say no. I’ve been indoors all day. I briefly opened the front door out of curiousity, and 5 seconds of touching my metal screen door made my hand feel burned for the next five minutes.Rat Patrol wrote: ↑30 Jan 2019, 10:15pmIn Woltergrad regular shrinkage has accelerated into runaway gravitational collapse, so by advanced physics they technically are no longer balls but points of infinite singularity.
There is frost on the strike plate of my back door, and the ice on the INSIDE of our bedroom windows is thick enough to be almost opaque.

I'm curious whether, after all this time, you feel more like a Northerner towards cold weather or are your Southern roots still too strong in your reaction.Wolter wrote: ↑30 Jan 2019, 10:35pmI’ve been indoors all day. Re: Beaner's and Rattie's Weather Porn Thread
The ice on the inside of the windows has been unsettling. I actually used that 3M plastic window insulation for the first time this year - but ran out with one window left. The ice went away on all of the windows I didn't cover - but that one is still iced up. We have our cat food station up against the side door (which isn't used in winter) and last night when I came home their metal bowls were completely iced up. The weather stripping had come loose in one small spot - allowing an icy jet of outside air to come in. I improvised a fix using rope caulk and duct tape - too cold to do much else. It was minus 28 when I drove to work this morning and I am very much done with this cold snap. It's almost hard to believe that it will bounce back to 20 degrees tomorrow and then 40 by Sunday!!Wolter wrote: ↑30 Jan 2019, 10:35pmI’ve been indoors all day. I’m mostly just tired of winter. It’s not novel to me anymore and with Jackson needing constant physical activity, being trapped indoors is tortuous.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑30 Jan 2019, 10:43pmI'm curious whether, after all this time, you feel more like a Northerner towards cold weather or are your Southern roots still too strong in your reaction.Wolter wrote: ↑30 Jan 2019, 10:35pmI’ve been indoors all day. It's been a little chilly here in Minnesota, you betcha.
The chill in the air has given me a little skip in my step as I jaunt to and from my hot tub. Nekkid, of course.

Bloody heatwave here but I have a theory!!
What if there is only so much temperature to go round?
Record cold spell in America = record heat wave in Pacific.
If temperature goes up in one place it goes down in another. Record cold in North Pole yet ice caps melting in Antartica.
However when it is fine in one place it may be fine everywhere?
