So I'm having the first real cold weather experience in my life. The rain on the ground has frozen and turned into ice. It's 30 degrees right now, and is suposedta get all the way down to 19 in the next 18 - 24 hours.

Better check and see if Cancun Cruz has any available seats on his next getaway charter.

this is fun AF, actually. I'll quickly change my tune if I lose water and/or power, which was widespread this time last year, as the local news won't let anyone forget.

Now it’s 26 and snowing – we got about 3-4 inches last night and it’s still coming down. Probably 5 more inches coming between now and Friday.

This is the time of year I really start counting down to daylight savings time. That extra hour of light at the end of the day really improves the mood. Only 5 ½ weeks to go!

Yeah by t-shirt weather I mean that I rolled 2 garbage cans to the curb in a t-shirt. Took about a minute and a half, and then I hurried in. In the frigid cold of a few days earlier, my nips would have torn holes in a t-shirt like sharp little diamonds.

I’ve never been much of a sandals guy. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve worn a pair of them since I was about 12 years old. And my cold weather adaptation is not really about tolerance, but preparedness. I'll step outside briefly in a t-shirt out of laziness, to take the trash out, but I’m generally all about layers in the winter.
