We didn't get much this time. About 4 inches from the looks of it.
You son of a bitch. Still snowing here.
I spoke to soon, snowing again.
I'm waiting for that fucking grader to come thru and block the driveway. What pisses me off is that he always gets mine and yet is inconsistent in whether my neighbours get that snow dam.
Now where's that KITH sketch about just this thing happening? You know the one.

No, I don't. Or at least it's not popping up in my memory machine.

Perhaps? I honestly can't think of a comedy sketch about graders and snow piles (which, fuck, you'd think Canada would generate a shit ton of).

I thought for sure it was a KITH sketch but now that I think about it some more it may have been This Hour Has 22 Minutes ...

In all the years it's been running, it's generated maybe 22 minutes of good comedy (not counting Rick Mercer's walking rants).

I haven't seen it in ages. I thought it had a pretty good run for a bit but after Mercer left it was unwatchable.

Fucking grader left a 2–3 foot wall of snow and ice in front of the driveway overnight!

Lovely. I used to live on a corner and the plow would have a long run of no driveways until it came round the corner to mine. Even relatively light snow falls resulted in this. I would regularly come home from work to an impassable wall that was 3 feet high and 4 to 5 feet deep. I would have to shovel my way in (street parking in those conditions got you ticketed and/or towed). I should have taken pics. I would have piles on either side of the driveway that were as tall as I was. Events like that led me to get a snowblower.

Heavy duty shovelling to clear the driveway entrance. Shit was packed down hard, so lots of chopping before shovelling. Plus it's -25C. A couple weeks ago, my neighbour was bemoaning our street's lack of industrious 12 year olds, willing to shovel out that shit for $10. I see his point.

Yeah for sure. I will say though that at least half the people on my street either have a snowblower or plow service.

Our one neighbour uses a plow service, but he has a garage. We just have the driveway, so it makes no sense to pay for one. I have an electric snow blower, which is good on snow, but ice and seriously packed stuff is a non-starter. I use it maybe once or twice a year because it takes a long time to set up. Has to be a lot of snow and me feeling lazy to haul it out. Grumbling about shovelling is essential to the snow experience.

Weird glitch in the IMCT-matrix. It was a red letter day when I sorted that out.
