Sooner or later, the insurance industry will stop offering policies to coastal properties. That's the funny (but not actually) thing about the people who try to put a positive spin on climate change. It's not about altering the seasons as much as it is about introducing chaos. And given that capitalism seeks predictability (for investment, production, marketing), that's not a good thing. Seriously...it was sunny, balmy, perfect fall day. Not too cold, not too hot..."unbuttoned jacket" weather. Scattered showers were the only thing in the forecast.
Then...boom...severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings blow up all over the fucking place. I only got the vivid lighting, but the gumball-sized hail and funnel clouds were less than a half-dozen miles away and there was apparently a whole armada of waterspouts sitting in the warm ocean water off the coast of Rhode Island and the Cape.
Like...whuh???
