Thundersnow was the aborted collaboration between Johnny Thunders and Canadian rap embarrassment Snow. I think it was aborted because Johnny Thunders was dead before anyone heard of Snow.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑18 Aug 2020, 2:39pmThundersnow if my favorite Ronnie James Dio side project.

It’s 11:20 now and it looks like it’s about 8pm. Weird orange sky, apparently the smoke is above the cloud level. Very apocalyptic.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Wanted to prove this was my bedroom by having the screen open to this page. The Springsteen sheet music on the keyboard is also a giveaway, but it's probably not visible.

That's scary. How far are you from the fires?
Re: Beaner's and Rattie's Weather Porn Thread
A few hundred miles. It's not very close. Air quality is not good, but it's really not that bad. I'm skipping out on jogging today, but you can't really smell the smoke. Apparently the winds being so strong are keeping the smoke high up enough to keep the air from being too bad, but it's making the sky super weird.

Heart attack snow! It's warm out, so it's wet and heavy, and still coming down (all day, as I understand it). I did a round of shoveling already, and it was enough to persuade me that I don't need to row today, given that I'll be out there again today and presumably tomorrow. I assume revbob and Kimmelweck are in the same situation.

It's surprisingly warm and green here. We've got a bunch of snow coming Monday though, and continuing through much of next week. The wet and heavy stuff sucks for sure.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑16 Jan 2021, 11:14amHeart attack snow! It's warm out, so it's wet and heavy, and still coming down (all day, as I understand it). Huh. Weather in Ottawa normally matches up with upstate NY and Vermont.Kimmelweck wrote: ↑16 Jan 2021, 3:40pmIt's surprisingly warm and green here.
