I can't watch anything with Kristen Stewart in it.
I have that affliction too but it also includes Tom Cruise, Leonardo Dicaprio and some others that escape me.
Tom Cruise, yep.
Although, I have to admit, I tolerated him in Valkyrie.

I'll tolerate Cruise for a movie that also stars Kenneth Branagh. Although I do really like Eyes Wide Shut.

I used to piss off friends with my various rules for movies I wouldn’t see because of actors. Tom Cruise was definitely one. I’m blanking on the others, but I know I was someone who made things tough for others.
If you were in my friend group we would just go to the movie without you.

And I wouldn't blame you. Tho most of the time this shit came up when renting a movie, so it was a situation of telling me to suck it up or just not come over. Which, again, cool, I can live with that. I mean, I'm going to be an asshole if I have to sit thru a Will Ferrell movie and *nobody* is going to enjoy his "comedy."

I liked Sandler in Punch Drunk Love but I didn't watch it until about 2015. It took me that long to get over The Waterboy.

A friend tried and tried to get me to watch that because it's such a departure. I told him that I'll grant all that, but I just have a visceral dislike of him so I wouldn't be inclined to give him a fair shot.

Have you seen Death on the Nile yet? I couldn't get through the beginning of it. I love Branagh but he should leave Poirot alone especially condering David Suchet's excellent body of work.

Spinal Tap sequel in the works: https://www.avclub.com/rob-reiner-direc ... 1848918388

My gut says it'll be awful. But I want them to try because it could be marvelous.
