Re: movies
Yeesh even I don’t watch that shit.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop

So *that's* why they call you "Two-Dozen Weiner" Flex! I was going in a whole other direction with that.

This, apparently, really is Gene Hackman at 92. Looking at this has left me an uncontrollable urge to go back and watch some of his movies, i don't remember ever seeing too many turkeys among them.

Re: movies
Wow. There was always something very likeable about Hackman on-screen, even if his character was a rat. Serious charisma without being obvious.Low Down Low wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 8:08amThis, apparently, really is Gene Hackman at 92. Re: movies
Oh yeah, totally. Wouldn't class myself as any kind of movie buff, but if i was ever scratching around for something to watch and saw his name in the credits, i felt i could be reasonably confident of a minimum 7/10. Just something very solid and dependable about him.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 8:18amWow. There was always something very likeable about Hackman on-screen, even if his character was a rat. Dude looks with it and virile. Couldn't ask for more at that (or any) age.
