The Simpsons

Sweet action for kids 'n' cretins. Marjoram and capers.

I've never explained to the Boss why I often comment that pizza pie is very hot these days when we order in. I suspect she just tunes me out now.

My wife has come to expect a question like "what have you been up to today?" to be answered with "wendy, I can't be expected to keep track of all my wheelings and dealings" which i think she finds secretly very impressive, even though she pretends to ignore me

I'm misting up a bit here. You've achieved the status of married guy whose repartee is ignored by his spouse. Being tolerated is that sweet assgroove in the couch.

We can be comforted that Gene is enjoying life on that farm out in the country with all those other jazzmen.

A thought: Despite the ubiquity of the series, characters, and language, there's probably more episodes of the Simpsons that I've never seen than I have. And among other ardent fans in the 90s, I don't think I'm unusual in this at all. Just very strange to realize that you know something really well yet are ignorant of so much of it.

Yeah for sure. I used to half watch the new episodes when my son was younger but he sort of out grew it too.

That was that case for me with X-Men until I invested in and read the entirety of it from ANAD—Current. You can do it with the Simpsons (don't do it)!

I have zero interest in doing that. Bad comedy is torture, especially when you know it used to be genius.
