It's a shame my perceived hotness based on my hip name never came to anything.

Luckily you are totally non-threatening.

Re: The Simpsons
Speaking of heartthrob names, I went to high school with a guy named Robbie Sweet. He was kind of a skater drop out. Kinda dumb, apparently had a large dong.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I went to high school with a guy named Dwayne Bone. Hockey player, dumb as a bag of rocks. He lives on in my memory for the look on his face during an exam—a cross between constipated straining and terror at seeing his own disembodied head.

Hello,
I once recruited a player named (I kid you not) Summer Loving.

Re: The Simpsons
Oh lord, yes. The Boss has a friend who lives in the BC interior, where a ton of hippies and draft dodgers ended up. The friend has worked for H & R Block during tax season and dealt with the weirdness of burned-out hippies trying to file taxes. On one occasion, they wanted to claim a child tax credit, but couldn't because the child in question didn't have a name. "We don't want to impose upon a human being their most personal thing, their identity." How do you communicate with your child? "Oh, 'Hey, you' or 'Baby'." All I could think of was building some monster with a personality disorder because they didn't have a name growing up.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
