VH, Jr. has watched all 32 seasons of the Simpsons during quarantine, so VH decided to get this for him for Hanukkah. Thought you all might get a kick out of this.
That looks really cool Jenny. I should get one that’s just ol’ Gil alone on the couch in a Buffalo Sabres jersey.
 Gil would have to be a Sabres fan.

The shirts are great. VH Jr has impressive fortitude to make it that far. Does he have any thoughts on the series as a whole? I'm just curious if someone his age and generation feels similarly to most of us about the sacredness of Seasons 3-ish to 9ish.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Nahhh. He thinks it's all pretty hilarious. Though he did seem to feel like it was a bit of a slog toward the end.

Ni asked what I would be making for dinner.

"Steamed hams."
"What?" a look like I've gone me tal.
"Burgers. Like the Simpsons. When Skinner has Chalmers round for dinner?"
"Don't remember that one."

I recited the entire scene, flawlessly, like a Shakespearean actor would remember (leaving out the part about Aurora Borealis) and we both laughed hysterically.

I read this the other day, I liked how somebody told HIM what one of the jokes was about.

And here I am on Xmas eve, remembering how much I love the very end of ToH IV.

So glad to be proven correct about the Hank Scorpio shoe joke. The overthought version is significantly less funny to me.

I never for a second thought the shoe joke referred to that instant. (Over)thinking otherwise is just weird.

The towel joke is even funnier to me now, tho.

I can't explain why I find this line funny, but I do. Basically, whenever I encounter the name Roy, I default to, "Yeah, hi Roy."

I want to change my Zoom avatar (currently: Nixon bowling) to this, but my fear is that students will think it actually means something's wrong.
