Can you match these New Romantic stars to their classic haircuts? I got 10/10, this was Heston fodder...

I got 7/10 and I don't think I've ever heard of most of those bands. Spandau Ballet? Japan???

You've never heard of Spandau Ballet? I envy you that. They seem to pop up on the soundtrack of any movie set in the 80s now.

Japan is amazing though.
Heard of them, and undoubtedly heard whatever hit they had, but don't know them off-hand.

Duran Duran heavily based their sound on their later work, check out 'Quiet Life' for evidence. Their earlier stuff was quite New York Dolls-y. I love the song 'Adolescent Sex' from their first album.

Japan is super awesome. Duran Duran wanted to be them but couldn't.

edit: I see Heston beat me to this.

I'll see what I've got on some of those 80s compilations, or else got to Spotify.

I can't imagine they will rock your world doc. But there are a couple of goodies.

I think the Dolls things is more of a look than sound to be honest. I don't hear Thunders Chuck Berry reverb guitar in there.

I sampled a compilation on Spotify. Marky's right—not for me. And Heston is correct about Duran Duran on "Quiet Life."
