Doogie Howser's dad carried that show and you know it.

Agreed. VH and I just got tickets for a show in October. I love what he is doing with his ticket sales, too.

Totally jealous.

I'm going to keep prodding him on twitter to come to Pittsburgh.

Shit, if he's coming to Moranjortsville, certainly he'll go to Pittsburgh.

Also, I love that my spellcheck knows Moranjortsville.

Not yet at least. He did mention some venues won't work with him on the ticket thing.

My top 5 would look way different now. So much more stand-up people I got into.

VH and I are going to see Louis CK tomorrow night. I would be very excited except that the show doesn't start until 10:30, and that's way past my bedtime.

Living with Ni, I'm exposing her to more and more of the esoteric stuff that I like. She's been through a lot of old horror movies lately and I showed her Louis CK's first and best stand up special, which she loved.

Last night, I torrented my 2nd favourite Carlin HBO show, Life is Worth Losing. Demonstrably, that is not the best introduction to his work. She mostly took him as a grumpy old man who belabored the same points over and over. I'm going to throw my favourite, It's Bad For Ya into the mix down the line and see if marriage will ever be on the cards.

Carlin on Campus or Carlin at Carnegie are good introductions in that it's him at his crowd-pleasing best. You get a sense of his love of language, before he embraced his inner angry Irish barfly.
