Hello,

When going through hell, keep going.
Counter adage! When you want to get out of a hole, first stop digging.

(Not that I mean anything one way or another. I'm just amused that there are adages for all perspectives.)
Or change the direction of your digging
Change to a trench?
Hello,

Just don't put down the shovel!

Same, tho I'd it's more about accepting more of these things and striving not to let them dominate me so. The pandemic has been beneficial in testing me, and I've been more level-headed than most (I've been surprised by the anxiety displayed by the Boss in all this). So I'm better in scary times than normal ones.

Well yes sort of you could dig your way out.

Hello,

Just don't put down the shovel!
You miss 100% of the clods of dirt you don't dig.

Slowly incline your way out, digging what amounts to a ramp.

This was a tough read, especially 101 and PH.

I'm glad to say I'm not as angry or awkward as I used to be, but still struggle with an eating disorder. It's better than it used to be, but it's always going to be here, at least while my mom is still alive. She is the main reason for it, after all. I have actually lost a bunch of weight lately (mainly anxiety related loss of appetite, not anything with binging/purging) and, of course, she is so much nicer to me right now. I will be 50 next month and I *still* can't eat anything unhealthy in front of her.

I remember I was going through some tough times when I posted this in 2012, and I'm happy to report, I'm in a much, much better place now.

And Tom, welcome. One of us, one of us, we accept you.
Same here, I guess it's heartening to know that it can get better.

Well, I just had a complete meltdown in front of my family after a prolonged stressful patch today and probably undid at least 6 months of my therapy. And added 6 months to each of theirs.

Sorry to hear Wolt. Anyone can crack at some point, I hope things have smoothed over a bit.
