Just finished watching the sublime UK show Ghosts, and found out there's (of course) and American version on CBS. Why must this always happen?
Because Limeys have good ideas but it takes others to make them into good practice?
But american versions are always worse than the original british!

Nonsense! For example, Heston has described KISS as the American Beatles.

Just from a philosophical perspective, or because it's not my kind of humor?
The latter, I think. It's very good-natured.

I like both versions of Ghosts a lot. The US version has a sweetness to it that the UK version doesn't have. For a CBS sitcom, it's excellent.

Yeah that sounds a bit much for me. The sweetness of the UK version builds naturally and gradually over three seasons and is a major component of character development in the show, but I don't think I'd like it if it was there from the beginning. I'll try it anyway.

If nothing else, the american series stars Rose McIver who I've found quite fetching for a number of years now.
