I’m legitimately sending feelers to figure out whether it’s the right kind of dumb for me. I’m worried it will be either too dumb or not dumb enough.

We binge watched it and it was laughably terrible. There are monsters and boobies and elfs all loosely tied up with a ridiculous plot. It was as if someone tried to make a show out of the lyrics of Dio songs. We'll likely watch season two when it comes out.

I never finished watching the Catch 22 series on hulu but he was in at least the first episode of that. He also did that bbc mimi series The Night Manager that was pretty good.

It is violent but then again life was violent and this is pre medieval where they mastered the art of torture.

Fair, but the older I get, the lower it seems my tolerance for that stuff. Violent music I'm still good with, but imagery makes me queasier these days.

I don't mind it when it's done tastefully or for the sake of humor, but when it's gratuitous, it just seems more like they're trying to pull in the age 14–24 male market. Rather cynical.
