The Boss watches that. The bits I've glimpsed make it seem like torture porn. :meh:
It is violent but then again life was violent and this is pre medieval where they mastered the art of torture.
Fair, but the older I get, the lower it seems my tolerance for that stuff. Violent music I'm still good with, but imagery makes me queasier these days.
I don't mind it when it's done tastefully or for the sake of humor, but when it's gratuitous, it just seems more like they're trying to pull in the age 14–24 male market. Rather cynical.
I sometimes shock myself when I'm aware that I'm deliberately not looking at the screen. When I was younger, I never fully bought that people did that. Like it was an affectation. But now I really have to put myself in the proper mindset for looking at violence, like if I'm going to watch horror gore.

I'm going to bring over Day of the Dead and a bottle of Malbec. Let's watch!

Doesn’t bother me watching people being tortured in a TV show but I have to look away if someone is falling off a scooter or some other dumb thing in one of those video compilation shows or YouTube.

Yeah, I ain't likely to look at that either. Part of it is also that I've shitloads of that stuff in my life. More isn't going to be revelatory or otherwise useful.

What is the difference between Vikings and Norsemen or are they very similar?

I fell asleep during episode 1, but I do that sometimes. I'll give it another go one of these days.

We finished watching last night and really dug it, altho I'm not sure how I feel about the ending.

We still need to watch the last one but the first two were compelling. I like the guy who plays Dracula. He was very good at being a charming scumbag.

Finished 6th and final season of The Americans. Not sure they won’t be back but great series.
Also finished season 4 of Vikings so only 40 more episodes to go 😳
