Just finished Stranger Things 4. I liked it. I liked it better than Stranger Things 3. The episodes did feel a bit overstuffed at times as they told a very expansive story, but they pulled it off. The cast of characters continues to be likeable (for the most part) and they introduced some good new ones. I'm not usually a fan of sci-fi horror, but this show has consistently engaged me and I look forward to Stranger Things 5, though I suspect at some point it will run out of steam, so I hope they know when to pull the plug.

Also, some great use of music this season, from the resurrection of Kate Bush's awesome "Running Up the Hill" to this clip:

That was a reminder that at one point a much younger WWK didn't exactly dislike Metallica. The punks and metalheads at my high school had a definite kinship as outsiders.
Older Metallica was the right choice for that moment. I dug it.

I found the stoned surfer pizza guy to be a bit tiresome. Ms Ryder is awesome.
I liked it OK. Every ep was as long as a fucking movie. The grown up parts, ie the Russia scenes, I thought were boring. And those Hawkins cops, jeez. Let's not go out there and be vigilantes, OK? No? OK, never mind.
Except when Winona Ryder is in the scene...right?

I like her, but the helicopter stuff and the prison stuff was dull to me, until the gladiator-monster shit. Big Boy broke both his ankles and was fine.

Anybody here watch "EVIL"? It's on Paramount (Which can be streamed through Amazon, to further muddle things)...
Basically, you've got a priest-in-training, a psychologist, and a jack-of -all-trades tech/ handyman guy investigating demonic goings-on for the catholic church.
Anyway, it's batshit crazy, it's funny as heck, Mike Colter (Luke Cage) is always great, and looks great in sweaters and blazers; Katja Herbers is absolutely adorable, and there's lots of gratuitous Michael Emerson (Ben Linus from LOST; king of the creeps). Christine Lahti as the main character's mom steals every scene she's in... anyway, I just can't recommend it enough for those of you looking for something to watch... check it out, if you haven't already!
You gotta give the people something good to read...

Those scenes did tend to be tedious.

I can't watch it until wife gets back from her trip, but i guess it was 2 episodes ago the Herogasm? That was possibly the best ep of the whole run.

Unrelated but out of nowhere I started whistling a tune, not being mindful and choosing it it just started coming out. It was the Hogan's Heroes theme. I haven't seen/heard it in forever and the show only occasionally comes up as a topic on here and nowhere else in my life. Fucking weird.

And I'm watching Match Game right now, featuring Richard Dawson!

Hogan's Heroes is, I suspect, a show that wouldn't get made today.

Because Americans are having a hard time looking at Nazis as bad guys?

Yeah, people wouldn't understand you're supposed to root for Hogan not Colonel Klink. All those Homelander fanboys would just have their hearts broken again...

Faux Edit: I always associate Hogan's Heroes with baseball because it used to be the go-to programming that the local tv station would put on during Rockies rain delays (before baseball moved to cable).

All those old WWII movies are going to undergo a drastic re-evaluation going forward.
