The Boss is home sick on the couch and is watching an episode of One Day at a Time. All I can think is that tep's dad despised Bonnie Franklin.

My dad was not a fan either.

I was a huge Valerie Bertinelli fan back in the day and was the sole reason I watched it.

She's got a serious helmet o' hair in this episode. I'd estimate it adding 2.5" on her right, left, and top.

Yeah her hair varied from straight and flat to the helmet type you're talking about and points in between.

The Boys on amazon.

A fresh and more realistic view of the whole super hero thing.

Good soundtrack too, Clash and Iggy Pop in the first episode.
I saw the first episode and loved it. Looking forward to watching the rest. Did you know the main guy (the electronics shop guy) is Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid's son?

I so wanted to ask Bob Gruen when I met him if the "I want a job" guy was based on him.

Wait. I don't think he was the "I want a job" guy. I think he was the record exec who was suspicious of Nancy claiming they had Johnny Thunders and Joe Strummer on board for Sid's solo album. SORRY TO RUIN YOUR DAY.

From the film "Sid And Nancy" (1986). Miguel Sandoval (credited as "Record Company Executive") performs his song "I Wanna Job (One
That Satisfies)" much to the amusement of Johnny (Andrew Schofield) and Sid (Gary Oldman)
Now this one is indeed a shocker.

Well, shit. I apologize. I thought he was the other guy!

I stand by the notion that he was based on Bob Gruen!
