I watched Season 4 of True Detective. Jodie Foster is excellent, but the story and the other characters are not as intriguing as Season 1 and Season 2.
It's good to hear Jodie Foster may be influential again.

North of North, netflix. I like that it's about an Inuk woman in the Arctic, but it felt lacking. Maybe because Netflix did it. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt30407364/
I haven't watched it yet but I do know what you mean

I thought Kali Reis was great in it as well and I think the strongest after Season1

I started and couldn't get into it. Agree it felt lacking.

I felt the same way and I think because the season was too short. Seasons 1-3 were 8 episodes, this season was only 6 and while maybe 2 episodes shouldn't make a difference, I felt like in this case they did.

If I have to rank them:

Season 1 by a mile
Season 3 is quite good, underrated
Season 4
Season 2 I just felt was flat and this is coming from someone who is a big Colin Farrell fan.

I just watched Ted Lasso for the second time. It's such a wonderful show, especially in a world that is increasingly crummy. I almost cannot wait for Season 4.

I was introduced to "Ted Lasso" while flying a couple of years back. I enjoyed it so much we subscribed to Apple TV just long enough to catch all of the episodes, then cancelled our sub. Looks like we're going to have to reup for season 4!

Hah. This must be a common experience now. Trying to squeeze an entire series in before the next billing cycle.

I dunno, this seems a bit morally dubious to me, a little bit sneaky and underhand. Could you not just illegally download it like most upstanding people?

Full disclosure, it was more than likely a free trial or 90 day free, then subscribe deal.
