Anyone watching The Pitt? It's excellent.
Caught the first two episodes tonight - really like it. Kinda touches on a bunch of social issues in grounded ways, and a solid cast. I can give it one of the highest compliments I can pay a TV show: it reminds me St. Elsewhere (especially the first few seasons of that show when it was very, very grounded). People make a lot of comparisons to ER for obvious reasons, but the show has more Ed Begley in its DNA than George Clooney, imho.

(Also, St. Elsewhere remains one of the best damned drama series ever. Without spending too much time thinking up a list, only Mad Men ranks higher for me.)

100%. I don't find many similarities to ER (aside from Wylie, obviously). It's just so well done.

To be clear, I am not watching this, but CBC keeps running ads for a Hallmark Channel show called The Chicken Sisters. I ain't watching something on Hallmark, but I want to know how something called The Chicken Sisters could get approved. One of the dumbest titles in some time.

Wikipedia.org says
The Chicken Sisters is an American family drama television series created by Annie Mebane. The series is based on the 2020 novel by KJ Dell’Antonia and set in the fictional town of Merinac, and follows the feud between two rival fried chicken restaurant families.
Hilarity ensues

So none of them are actual chickens. That was the one potentially interesting possibility.

I would have tried at least one episode if that were true.

Can't spell "I am not watching this" without "I am watching this"

We watched the first three episodes this afternoon. Man, that dance song just went on and on and on and on.

Yeah and the misfit rebels storyline also seemed pointless. Maybe it all comes together eventually but for a 12 episode season it seems the forst 3 episodes could have been condensed into 1 or 2 episodes.
